History of Claus D.

EX MOORFLETH, EX SCHULAU

1970

During the 1970s the age of Steam Tugs ended. Claus D. was only used as "mobile steam production plant" for tank cleaning.

For the use at the oil terminals a misshaped spark catcher was installed in the funnel.

As last active steam vessel in the port of Hamburg Claus D. was in service up to 1983 and later layed up in the Travehafen.
